Alleviate stress and anxiety | Gentle Yoga with Sandy

Gentle Yoga is a slow mindful practice for nervous system resilience, to alleviate stress and anxiety and to improve posture and flexibility.   Suitable for everybody regardless of age, physical ability, gender, colour, race, or belief system.

Yoga aims to balance the autonomic nervous system.  When the system comes back to homeostasis all the internal organs tend to work more effectively and you feel a sense of peace and harmony inside.  The body feels energised, yet the mind feels calm and peaceful ready to enjoy life to the full.

We work with gentle stretches, breathing practices, relaxation and meditation for improved health and vitality.

If you would like to come and give the class a try, your first class is free.  Classes are at  Binstead, Ryde, Isle of Wight on the following days:

Wednesdays 10.00am – 11.00am – Chair Yoga (for those less mobile) at Woodlands Yoga Studio, Binstead

Thursdays 10.30am– 12 noon – Hatha Yoga at Woodlands Yoga Studio, Binstead

Thursdays 6.30pm – 8.00pm – Hatha Yoga at Woodlands Yoga Studio, Binstead

Fridays 10.30am – 12 noon – Hatha Yoga at Woodlands Yoga Studio, Binstead

Woodlands Yoga Studio is a purpose-built studio and fully equipped so there is no need to bring anything with you.  Wear loose comfortable clothing.

Cost of Classes

The cost of classes is £9 per class. Alternatively, if you opt to pay monthly, I offer a discount for payment in advance at the beginning of the month. Please ask in class or contact me on 07779 424018 for more information.

The lotus flower is a symbol of purity of the body, speech, and mind.  While rooted in the mud, the lotus flower grows and rises up through the murky waters and blossoms untouched into the sunshine.

Its journey from a mere seed at the bottom of a pond to emerge unblemished as a magnificent bloom, represents the struggles of life itself;  a feeling of breaking free from the murkiness of daily life and fulfilling our true potential.
